No, no, no, not those kind of Lasers. We want the ones you can drink.
Dedicated to the Tillerman, Dan (I know you're not a Laser sailor, but what the hell.) and Litoralis.

LASER BEAM

1 fl oz (30ml) silver tequila

1 fl oz (30ml) Jack Daniel's

1 fl oz (30ml) amaretto

1/2 fl oz (15 ml) triple sec

Add ingredients to a cocktail shaker. Cover and shake. Strain into an old-fashioned glass. Drink at once and call the Tillerman in the morning about upwind sailing tactics. Makes 1 kick ass cocktail.

Score! Project L'orange Canard Update

I went to get the boom, mast and sail I saw on Craigslist in San Leandro today. Sigh, Brian sold the sail to someone else  who snuck in ahead of me after I posted my find on the Yahoo Banshee forum (I most have been hit in the head too many times by the boom. I should have waited after I bought the items to post.) However I did score on foils that he had hidden in the dark, dank reaches of his garage.

I'm almost there. Now I need a sail and a doughnut.

What A Sweet Boat! Skiffhead Alert. New R Class Hull - Sea Trials.

Many of you know that I have a special place in my heart for skiffs. Some critics, OLE, look at these as not being boats. Okay, I concede that you aren't going to take your Aunt Martha fishing on it, but what a rocket! A big plus for me is that this boat can be built at home.

The new lady is introduced to her admiring public. She seems to be watching her weight coming in at a mere 29kg. Atkins? South Beach? Nope, Kiwi!
