Link Of The Week. "The 10-Step Guide to Windsurfing."

I was toying with the idea of bringing back the "Link Of The Day," but quickly threw that one into the trash can because I'm such a lazy so and so. So, let's see how many weeks I'll be serving links, hash browns and eggs (over easy, please).

It's a nice little guide (loaded with some good diagrams and photos) of beginner to intermediate windsurfing skills. You wouldn't want to do this with a sailboat.

Your kid won't become traumatized by a lunatuc sailing instructor screaming at her during sailing camp. It's just a about fun.

Versatility is the name of the game.
You can throw multiple boards on the roof of your car, so they're easy to transport. You can paddle them on rivers, lakes, bays and the ocean. You can go surfing.  You can practice your asanas on them. You can fish from them. You can even put a mast on one and go windsurfing. Clean up is a snap!

Everything That Has Been Will Be, Everything That Will Be Is, Everything That Will Be Has Been.

Capital idea, Jeeves. If we can do yoga on a Stand Up Paddleboard, why not turn one into a sailing craft! Wait a second, didn't I see this movie back in the 70s?

Caspar David Friedrich was born in Greifswald, Swedish Pomerania, on the Baltic Sea. He was a 19th-century German Romantic landscape painter, generally considered the most important German artist of his generation. Friedrich is best known for his mid-period allegorical landscapes which typically feature contemplative figures silhouetted against night skies, morning mists, barren trees or Gothic ruins. His primary interest as an artist was the contemplation of nature, and his often symbolic and anti-classical work seeks to convey a subjective, emotional response to the natural world. Friedrich's paintings characteristically set a human presence in diminished perspective amid expansive landscapes, reducing the figures to a scale that, according to the art historian Christopher John Murray, directs "the viewer's gaze towards their metaphysical dimension."
