Limit of Positive Stability.
Limit of Positive Stability or LPS is the angle from the vertical at which a boat will no longer stay upright but will capsize, becoming inverted, or turtled. It is also known as the Angle of Vanishing Stability or AVS. For example, if a boat with an LPS of 120 degrees rolls past this point, i.e. its mast is already at an angle of 30 degrees below the water, it will continue to roll and be completely upside down in the water. Most sailboats have lead or other heavy materials in their keel at the bottom of their hulls to keep them from capsizing.

Another air cooled wonder. In addition the the VW Bus, I also owned a Karmann Ghia many years ago. She got great gas mileage and was the easiest car that I have ever owned to repair and maintain.

Hello my friend, I'd like to play with you a bit.
I don't know how he managed to stay calm and continue filming. If it was me, I would have been screaming, "Mommy!" and possibly defecating in my pants. But then, I'm not a stud like Shawn.
Yes my friends, I know you're shocked. But there are things in the ocean that will eat you.
The ocean is not a kiss the fish cartoon or a playful world of domesticated seals and dolphins. It's a wilderness. So please always be aware of the conditions, your abilities and the environment when heading out into the water.
