29er Sailing Video. 2005 Worlds.

Video taken at this years 29er World Championship.
Pardon my quality, who'd a thunk you could take a video with a still camera. What am I talking about, you can take videos with cell phones. Tech is amazing!

I have got to get a video camera!

Kaboom!

Sometimes I can't stand living in the Bay Area, then there are other times when I'm blown away. One of the things that I love about living here is KFOG's annual Kaboom, a fireworks extravaganza set to music.

Most people hang out by the shore, sailors take to their boats and have their socks knocked off. Saturday's kaboom was awesome, click the image to get a taste.

If you are up to it right click the following and download to see the whole 18 minute tamale. Big files!!!! Broadband (high resolution) 68MB Lowband 35MB

I used Ulead's VideoStudio 9 to edit the original 18 minute video down to 1 minute 20 seconds showing Dave Morey's Intro and then the finale.

49er's Sailing On Lago Di Garda.

This is my second attempt with Ulead. I had to use Sony's Vegas Movie studio(which I downloaded today) to strip out the original audio which was "God awful." I then went back into Ulead and added the music track. I haven't figured out how to fade the sound out so there is an abrupt end. Overall it seems to be pretty good product.

The video came from 49er.org. Music by the Mermen.

Update: I turned off autoplay since it soaks up resources. Hit the play button to watch the video. Hello WetAss readers!

The Musto Performance Skiff looks very cool. It is on my list of dinghies to sail since I am searching for the perfect dinghy.
