Kaboom!
Sometimes I can't stand living in the Bay Area, then there are other times when I'm blown away. One of the things that I love about living here is KFOG's annual Kaboom, a fireworks extravaganza set to music.
Most people hang out by the shore, sailors take to their boats and have their socks knocked off. Saturday's kaboom was awesome, click the image to get a taste.

I used Ulead's VideoStudio 9 to edit the original 18 minute video down to 1 minute 20 seconds showing Dave Morey's Intro and then the finale.

I was reading the Yahoo surfski forum this morning when I ran across a post about hydrofoils on kayaks. Being a sceptic my first reaction was, "that can't be, a kayak with hydrofoils has to be unstable. This guy is on drugs." Well I was wrong (not the first time).

This is my second attempt with Ulead. I had to use Sony's Vegas Movie studio(which I downloaded today) to strip out the original audio which was "God awful." I then went back into Ulead and added the music track. I haven't figured out how to fade the sound out so there is an abrupt end. Overall it seems to be pretty good product.

I downloaded Ulead's VideoStudio 9 to see if I could have a bit of fun playing with some of my movie files. Here is the result of 15 minutes work. What do you think?
