I know, I know. What can I say, one video leads to another and then to another. It's endless.
Here's a vid for our ole Grand Dad to watch while he shivers next to his radiator. Perk up Frosty, it features your beloved boat. I'll give it to you, the Laser is a joy to jibe...cough, cough, cough.
GD Joe, not another video! Can't you come up with anything creative on your own?
Mucho la luna para mi.

If I had my money
I tell you what I'd do
I would go downtown
Buy a Mercury or two
Cause I'm crazy 'bout a Mercury
Cruise up and down the bay
Up and down the bay
I'm goin' to buy me a Mercury
And I'll cruise up and down the bay
Up and down the bay
You know that gal I love
I stole her from a friend
Fool got lucky stole her back again
Because she knowed he had a Mercury
Cruise up and down the bay
Up and down the bay
Well, she knowed he had a Mercury
And she cruise up and down the bay
Hey now mama
Where'd you stay last night
Your hair's all down
Your clothes don't fit you right
Had my money
I tell you what I'd do
Go downtown and buy a Mercury or two
Cause I'm crazy 'bout a Mercury
And I'll cruise up and down the bay
Up and down the bay
I'm going to buy me a Mercury
And I'll cruise up and down the bay
Up and down the bay

The Objective...
To select a Bladerider Moth for the Men's Single Hander Event in the 2012 Olympics.
I hate to say this, no way Jose or I should say, no way Rohan. The Laser is still the best boat for this event. To quote the folks at Scuttlebutt, "..is there a class that meets the Olympic ideal better than the Laser? Affordable, available, athletic, unpretentious… it is the easiest “next step” for youth sailors, and with Olympic status, it has become a legitimate landing point for elite sailors to pursue excellence."

Sail World - New World Speed Record 50.26 knots
Unverified reports coming from Namibia. suggest that professional kite surfer Sebastien Cattelan (FRA) has finally broken the magical 50 knots barrier, the holy gral of speed sailing.
Thw Lüderitz Speed Challenge 2008 is being held in Lüderitz, Namibia, from 15 September 2008 to 13 October 2008. This is the second edition of the event, which is running on the wind blastred coast just a few hours from Capetown.
Accompanied by several high 49 knots runs from himself, Alexandre Caizergues and Jerome Bila (all France) he was the only sailor finally getting to 50.26 knots.
Special attendance was paid to the required water depth, and the organizer in cooperation with the WSSRC commissioner present clearly ensured that the rule was strictly applied.

The Maltese Falcon appeared on the bay yesterday.
Sam Spade was no where to be found.

Here is the crappy photo that I took while driving down Broadway. I know, I was irresponsible for driving and taking pictures at the same time. At least I wasn't texting.
The good photo is from Yacht Pals.

The Tillerman has shown me the light.

Laser sailors are a healthy lot. Example: Petra Niemann!
I blurred the photo, if you want to a clear one please visit the Tillerman. More German Wahine Olympians here.

Ben does it!
It looks like Britain will rule the waves again, at least at this year's Olympics.
The Brits could tally as many as 7 medals. Next up is Paul Goodison sailing in the ...cough, cough, cough....Laser.

Puluwat sailing canoes coming home.
From Guy (Guy is "The Yellowstone guy."):
LONG AGO AND FAR AWAY I WAS AN ANTROPOLOGY PROFESSOR.
You should locate and read "East Is A Big Bird" by Thomas Gladwin. The detail of the canoes, the seamanship, and the sheer balls of the navigators is telling of the seafaring wanderlust.
-- I loved the map of your last post.
Thanks Guy, I ordered it today from Amazon.
Cheers, Joe
P.S. Wahines to come.

I hate slip fees but I have to admit that the big guns are great to watch.
Look Mikey, wind. He likes it, he likes it!
I know, my brain is just overflowing with years worth of media brainwashing.
Jibe ho!
The poor guy pulled a Joe and went for a swim.
