Spotted On The Bay. Not Again Damn It!
Curses! Not a Force 5 in sight.
The dreaded sailors have come to conquer the Bay.
Where is the Tillerman? His evil minions are leaderless without his presence. Many were seen capsized, confused and flopping around the water.
The 2008 North American Laser Championship is underway at the St. Francis Yacht Club. It runs until the 27th. If you are in the Bay Area come on down to East Beach [Crissy Field] in San Francisco to watch the action. It was spectacular on Thursday.

The five crew of the J/24 Juvenile Deliquent were rescued just seconds before their upturned boat sank stern-first into the waters of Weymouth Bay on Sunday. The incident happened in the first race of the British National Championships in winds of 25-29 knots and big seas. More at sailkarma.

Thomas Coville et Sodeb'O sont partis "tout schuss" pour une tentative de traversée de l'Atlantique à un tempo d'enfer. Un seul objectif: faire mieux que Francis Joyon, sur Idec, en 2005, soit 6 jours, 4 heures, 1 minute et 37 secondes pour rallier le Cap Lizard. The WotRocket want's to break the sailing speed record.
How much money has been dumped into this project? This is so they (mysterious money bags) can lay bragging rights that their $$$$$$$ boat can go faster than a simple windsurfer [sailboard]. Newsflash, the sailboard (how much did it cost?) still holds the record.
The real question is, can the WotRocket be cartopped?
The sailboard beats this puppy hands down.
