Tillerman Tuesday.
Laser sailors, Laser sailors, and more Laser sailors!
Annalise Murphy of Ireland dominates the field in the Laser Radial. Clocking four straight wins, her nearest competitor is 12 points back.

Shallow And Sexist. (Tillerman Tuesday)
Phew, I thought they were talking about you know who. But it turns out that honor belongs to U.S. Sailing's marketing team. I guess the brain trust at U.S. Sailing finally figured out a way to attract more people to sailing.
Who knew that Laser sailors could be such free spirits or free with the spirits. I suspect bourbon.

Mr. Google thinks that they are.

Oh my God, it's Clay Johnson! Run for the hills.
Wooooooo, Andrew Campbell. Spooky dude, spooky!
Laser sailors are scary good. So maybe Mr. Google stumbled upon the truth. If you want to be a good sailor, start out in a dinghy. Yes, even a Laser.
Thank you to the Tillerman for the inspiration.

There's nothing like sailing a fast, seaworthy, and stable sailboat.
Scratch the seaworthy and stable part.

Eh, what the heck. I wanted to go for a swim anyway.
C. A. Marchaj -"To be seaworthy, a vessel must be able to defend herself against the incursion and peril of the sea." and "A competitive approach to sailing: above all, speed. Relatively small, overcanvassed and overpowered boats, suffering notorious lack of stability, dominate the contemporary racing scene."

Can you sail? from Simon kearns on Vimeo.
Sailing is a great way to impress a wahine, especially when you know what you are doing.
That was classic! Thank you Mr. Tweezerman.

It seems that our man in Hawaii, Mark Denzer, wasn't happy being the circumnavigator of Oahu. He's gotten into the inventing business and come up with a contraption that should bring joy to old Laser sailors worldwide. The only question I have for him is, "where's the cup holder?"
