What Dinghy Sailing Can Teach Us About Living In The World.
No matter how many times you get knocked down and capsize, you can right yourself and continue sailing.

Tearing up the water.
Hay mucho frio today here in la area bahia. I felt really bad for the kids who kept capsizing over and over again. The wind was howling and some of the contestants, who are used to Bermuda like weather, got a shock when they hit the water. After a couple of swims in the bay I could feel their misery. Pobrecitos!
Local saying: If you can sail here, you can sail anywhere!
Welcome to the Bay.

UK Contender Results
Photo © Lee Whitehead / www.photolounge.co.uk
The 2005 UK Contender Nationals were held over 4 days, from 21st to the 24th of May at the Porthpean Sailing Club, near St Austell, Cornwall. 56 boats showed up for this years clam bake. This year's winner is Tim Holden from the Halifax SC. Sigue.
What a sweet boat. The Contender was designed to replace the Finn as the singlehander for big guys at the Olympics. It didn't make it because I suspect that a lot Finn drivers didn't like the idea of using a trapeze. Still, it's a sweet boat.

This is my second attempt with Ulead. I had to use Sony's Vegas Movie studio(which I downloaded today) to strip out the original audio which was "God awful." I then went back into Ulead and added the music track. I haven't figured out how to fade the sound out so there is an abrupt end. Overall it seems to be pretty good product.
29er Worlds Coming to San Francisco.
This should one heck of a shindig. I'll be floating nearby with camera in hand. I can't wait.
